Condition assessment and registration: Thorough inspection, documentation of defects and missing parts.
Disassembly: Careful, systematic disassembly with marking of parts.
Cleaning: Removal of grease and rust from mechanical parts, removal of dust from optical elements and wiping with special cleaning agents. Removal of fungus in case of exposure to fungus.
Repair and restoration: Replacement or repair of worn or damaged parts, restoration of surfaces.
Assembly and set-up: Careful assembly of parts, fine-tuning of mechanical movements and precise adjustment of optical elements.
Test and check: Detailed examination of the colposcope’s functions and optical performance, followed by the documentation of the restoration process.
